Ruby on Rails Backend Developer
Internship I had during the Summer of 2020
thinq.tv is a start up website that focuses on having intellectual conversation with people across the United States through a video chatroom style.
To remain in the internship I had to have a useful (Had to be a new feature or fixed bugs.) pull request every 2 to 3 weeks. I began by fixing controller and integration tests that had become broken because of changes to the website. After fixing the tests I was tasked with fixing other bugs in the website. Such as bug that permitted users to post a conversation/chatroom with conflicting times.
As my internship came to an end I was given more responsibilties such as testing other intern's pull requests and approving them for merging. I also added a feature that tracked people's time in a conversation/chatroom and stored it in a postgres database.
I do not officially intern there anymore but I still work on some features just for fun. Currently I am worknig on a stats page that displays personalized data about the user logged in and for no one else.
